About the business:
GAM is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of the critical mineral Tantalum, which is used in the electronics, aerospace and medical industries. GAM has operations in Australia, the US and Japan. GAM is committed to the responsible supply of tantalum in all its forms and operates to high standards of sustainable development. Our Greenbushes operation runs 24/7 to process and ship tantalum to our facilities in Boyertown, USA as well as Tin and Tantalum to other oversees purchasers.
About the Role:
Global Advanced Metals (GAM) Greenbushes works alongside the emerging green energy sector to provide microprocessor, aerospace and medical industry solutions. We have a newly created position, working with our finance team, based at our Greenbushes site.
The role will encompass many aspects of the accounts function including: monthly journals and cost reporting, state royalty returns, liaising with accounts payable and receivable staff, cash flow forecasting assistance, FBT and BAS returns and liaising with GAM’s US and Japanese locations.
The role requires a professional and reliable all-rounder who will enjoy working in a small team and performing a variety of functions.
In addition to a competitive starting annual salary, you will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus.
Previous experience working in the mining or mineral processing industry, although desirable, is not essential.
This is a residential role and you must reside within reasonable daily commuting distance of our Greenbushes site.
The role can be full time or part time / school hours are a possibility for the right candidate.
Skills and experience:
Essential Criteria:
We are looking for either a Qualified Accountant or an experienced Finance Officer with two plus years experience in assistant accounting / book keeping roles.
High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
Excellent problem solving skills;
High attention to detail;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Valid WA Driver’s Licence.
