Occupational Health Nurse-Paramedic
Greenbushes Lithium Operation
Residential Full Time Position

About the Role
To support the ongoing expansion of Talison’s Greenbushes Lithium Operations, an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Occupational Health Nurse or Paramedic.
The Occupational Health Nurse or Paramedic is responsible for delivery of health services in the on-site clinic, medical surveillance, injury management and wellbeing services to the Talison Lithium operation, project & support areas.
As a key role, the incumbent will ensure that the organisation is enhanced by the delivery of quality occupational health, medical & emergency services to operational, project and support areas.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
deliver primary health care treatment and emergency medical care;
coordinate injury management inclusive of Workers’ Compensation and Return to Work Programs;
organise referrals and facilitate Telehealth consults;
review employment medicals and medical reports;
conduct ongoing Health Monitoring of site personnel (audiometry, spirometry, biological monitoring);
maintain personnel safety and confidentiality;
support mental wellbeing and health promotion strategies;
ensure calibration and maintenance of clinic, emergency equipment and medical supplies; and
reporting inclusive of End of Month Injury and Medication/Poisons Permit Reporting.
About the Candidate
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
tertiary qualification in Nursing and/or Paramedicine;
current registration with no conditions with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
at least 5 years’ experience working in a health related field in the resources sector and/or primary health care;
current Police Clearance;
current Approved Audiometric Officer (AAO) with WorkCover WA;
current Spirometry Certification;
current Workers Compensation & Return to Work accreditation;
current HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing;
current immunisation training certification (authorised immuniser);
experience working autonomously in remote locations;
contribute to ERT/Emergency response;
contribute toward the success of the WHS team while supporting a positive team culture;
excellent written and verbal communication skills;
intermediate computer literacy;
legal right to live and work in Australia; and
reside or be prepared to relocate to within 60 minutes’ drive of the Greenbushes Lithium Operation.
