About the Role:

We are excited to announce that we are inviting applications for a new position in alignment with our Maintenance team – a Shutdown Scheduler. Reporting to the Senior Shutdown Planner, the successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling all shutdown-related work. This role works closely with our Shutdown Planners from corresponding work groups, and is responsible for the creation, delivery and tracking of the shutdown GANTT charts. The role is primarily focussed on data management, with a core purpose to schedule work from multiple disciplines into a combined GANTT chart for each shutdown event.

 

This a residential role, based at our Greenbushes Lithium Operation, on a 7:7 (12-hour dayshift) roster. Company housing can be on offer, but you must be prepared to live and work within our beautiful Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes during your rostered shifts.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • managing the data transfer between software platforms (SAP to Project), using baselines to track changes;
  • grouping, allocation and timelining of all maintenance activities for all shutdown events;
  • setting up milestones and deadlines to manage job float in shutdown GANTT’s;
  • setting up contractor teams, resource balancing the work allocation and distribution of required technical capability;
  • scheduling and allocation of specialized equipment & resources in shutdowns (Cranes, EWP’s etc);
  • performing the critical path review for each shutdown GANTT, including task interface review;
  • live tracking and reporting on GANTT chart progress, capturing improvements & learnings to apply for the next shut (including involvement in the shut review process); and
  • creation and distribution of the various communication packs derived from the master GANTT chart.

 

About the Candidate:

The incumbent should have the following qualifications or experience:

  • 2 – 5 years experience in a planning or scheduling role;
  • trade qualification within the Electrical or Mechanical field (highly desirable);
  • completion of planning-based asset management courses (highly desirable); and
  • data management or analysis qualifications (highly desirable).

 

The incumbent should have the following skills or competencies:

  • high level of SAP proficiency, including a working knowledge of CMMS (essential);
  • strong computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Projects (specifically GANTT chart creation);
  • familiarity with Palmcrest scheduling process (highly desirable);
  • strong level of expertise and knowledge with work management processes;
  • experience scheduling multiple Work Center based resources (SAP); and
  • team-focussed approach with excellent cross-discipline communication skills (including meeting facilitation).
