Customer Service Officer Part Time

Part-Time (0.4 – 0.6 FTE), $32.43 – $35.42 per hour (plus entitlements)

The Position

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Customer Service Officer to join the Shire of Manjimup Administration team. Reporting to the Senior Customer Service Officer, you will provide exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers on their initial contact with the Shire. This role is responsible for:

• Providing the first point of contact to assist customers with their queries.
• Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Accurately receiving and recording monies paid to the Shire by the Public and Creditors.
• Monitoring of Shire stationery and other supplies.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Highly developed verbal communication and public relations skills, including reception and telephone techniques, and proven ability to manage difficult customers and complaints.
• Developing computer skills with competency in typing, keyboard and numeracy.
• Highly developed time management and organisation skills.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, secretarial duties, and receipting procedures.
• Sound working knowledge of the local community.
• 1+ year experience in point of sale/customer relations position.
