Kearnan College is a vibrant PK–12 school nestled in the picturesque town of Manjimup, approximately 300km south of Perth. Many of our students are heavily involved in sporting endeavours, both inside and outside of school. We engage in a range of local and regional competitions and events and the College has thriving netball and basketball programs that are very popular with students. We are seeking an outstanding educator and leader for the position of Head of Learning Area (Health & Physical Education) for a 2026 start. A one or two-year secondment may be possible, with the support of the successful applicant’s current Principal. The HoLA (HPE) is a key member of the Kearnan College Middle Leadership Team and the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in nurturing a safe, inclusive and faith-filled environment where students grow spiritually, emotionally, socially and academically. Our HoLAs work collaboratively as a collective group for the betterment of the College’s educational achievement.

Selection Criteria:

• Experience teaching within the Health and Physical Education learning area, including ATAR Physical Education Studies.

• Sound understanding of SCSA requirements within the learning area.

• Expertise in coordinating and facilitating sporting events, such as carnivals and interschool competitions.

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

• Skills to contribute to and promote a strong staZ culture focused on support and improvement.

• The ability and willingness to teach Mathematics or Religious Education would be advantageous. Required Qualifications
