Design & Technologies Teacher Full Time NEW

Kearnan College has approximately 350 students and 58 teaching and support staff. The College is seeking an outstanding educator for the position of Design and Technologies Teacher, specifically a combination of woodwork, metalwork, construction and introductory mechanics/automative. This is an ongoing position and we are open to applicants wishing to work part-time (0.4FTE or greater) or full-time. A one or two-year secondment from your current school may be possible with the support of your current Principal. The successful applicant will be a collaborative and contributing team member and an engaging educator who will develop respectful relationships with students and other staff members.

• The ability to deliver teaching and learning programs that are student-driven, datainformed and challenge all learners.

• A deep understanding of the content area and current pedagogical practices.

• A proactive and vigilant approach to safety in the workshop for both staT and students.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and students.

• Skills to contribute to and promote a strong staT culture and to work collaboratively with other staT members.

• Supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College.

• If seeking greater than 0.6FTE employment, please specify the additional learning areas you would be comfortable teaching. The ability to teach lower secondary Maths and/or Religious Education would be a distinct advantage, but other learning areas are welcome. Required Qualifications
