PACK SHED SUPERVISOR
About the role
We are seeking a highly organised, efficient and experienced Pack Shed Supervisor to join our team at Grower Connect Pty Ltd. This is a vital and hands-on role based at our farm in MANJIMUP WA. You will be expected to work very closely with the team on the floor, especially during peak season, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation in our pack shed.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
It is a full-time role, Monday – Saturday during the busy period (October – June), while during our off-season (July – September) it will be more of a flexi arrangement.
Reporting directly to the Director and Farm Manager, your primary responsibilities, whilst not limited to, will include:
· Liaise with the Director and Farm Manager to ensure efficient personnel and operations management throughout the packing shed.
· Provide support and supervision to the operations team in each of their roles to ensure smooth efficient production
· Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including WH&S, Food Safety, Fresh Care, PALM protocols are compliant.
· Lead by example with a strong floor presence during daily operations, working side-by-side with the team to solve problems and keep production moving.
· Demonstrating safe work practices and maintaining a safe working environment
What we want in you:
· Good operational principles and communication skills with an eye for detail and an ability to achieve improvements for the business, well-planned and organised
· Great supervision skills, with the ability to coordinate teams in an efficient and friendly manner, while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.
· Minimum 6 months to 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
· Previous experience in grading and packing of fruit
· A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fruit grading and packing is required.
· Fast paced packing skills
· Advanced Computer Skills
· Basic computer literacy is required for this role.
· Be a holder of certificates or licenses in the following:
· Current forklift and first aid certificates must be held before starting employment.
