The role
Global Advanced Metals is seeking an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team at our Greenbushes site in Western Australia. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role. It requires you to be on site at Greenbushes Monday to Friday.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the shipments of product from Greenbushes to international destinations.
What you’ll be doing
- Monitor shipment schedules and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure all export documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Management of a team of up to 6 people including plant operators and a shipping administration officer.
- Liaise with metallurgical, operational and logistics staff on production and shipping requirements, to ensure shipping schedules are met.
- Provide planning and shipping reports to a high level of detail.
- Prepare shipment samples for analysis, Complete documentation of assays for shipment files.
- Complete shipping documentation, including all documentation to comply with local and international hazardous material transport regulations.
- Liaise with transport companies ( road, rail or sea) to ensure product shipments are despatched on time and in line with shipping schedules.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, dangerous goods qualification.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in an international shipping (preferred).
- You have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- You have excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- You can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- You are more than proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
- A strong ability to learn new systems and processes.
