Farmlink Rural is a Manjimup based rural merchandise and irrigation business specialising in large scale irrigation installations.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Poly welder / Fabricator with expertise in HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) fabrication. The ideal candidate will be proficient in butt welding, electrofusion, extrusion welding and fabrication of HDPE products to meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform butt welding, electrofusion and extrusion welding on HDPE materials in compliance with company and industry standards.
Fabricate HDPE products, including pipe systems, fittings, and custom structures, based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Ensure all welds meet quality control requirements and conduct inspections as necessary.
Must be willing to perform works outside of HDPE welding (such as operating loader/skidsteer/telehandler/chainsaw and PVC installation, pump system repairs and maintenance.)
Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in HDPE fabrication, including butt welding electrofusion and extrusion welding.
Knowledge of plastic welding techniques and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Relevant certifications in welding or fabrication (preferred but not essential).
Familiarity with the Australian Standards for welding and fabrication is advantageous.
Highly desirable – tickets in Telehandler, loader, chainsaw, dogging
