South West Rope Access Technicians – We Want to Hear From You
Breight Group is building a locally based South West Rope Access workforce to support regular shutdown and maintenance works in the region.
We’re looking for experienced IRATA Rope Access Technicians – Levels 1, 2 and 3 across multiple disciplines who are based locally and available for DIDO shutdown work throughout the year.
These are not fixed-roster positions. They are suited to Rope Access professionals looking for regular shutdown opportunities closer to home, with the flexibility to work across scheduled campaigns as they become available.
To be considered, you must have a permanent Point of Hire within the South West region of WA that supports DIDO travel to and from site.

Rope Access Boilermakers
Rope Access Mechanical Fitters
Rope Access Riggers – Intermediate & Advanced
IRATA Level 3 Technicians / Supervisors
The Opportunity
As part of Breight Group’s South West workforce, you’ll have the opportunity to work across regular planned shutdown and maintenance campaigns, undertaking trade-based scopes using Rope Access methodologies.
Depending on your trade and experience, works may include mechanical maintenance, structural repairs, installation, rigging and other specialist access activities.
There is no set ongoing roster associated with these positions. Work will be offered based on upcoming shutdown requirements, your qualifications, experience and availability.
What You’ll Need
To be considered, you will need:
Current IRATA Level 1, 2 or 3 certification
Relevant Australian-recognised trade qualification for Boilermakers and Mechanical Fitters
Appropriate High Risk Work Licence for Riggers
Previous mining, shutdown, maintenance or heavy industrial experience
Current Working at Heights and relevant site competencies
Strong commitment to safety and IRATA requirements
Ability to meet site mobilisation and medical requirements
Permanent Point of Hire within the South West region of WA
Ability to DIDO to and from site from your nominated South West Point of Hire
Flexibility to work scheduled shutdown campaigns throughout the year
