With exciting growth ahead, we are seeking a Senior Youth Access Clinician to support the establishment and ongoing operations of our new Centre located in and supporting the Warren-Blackwood region.

About the Role
The successful applicant will deliver evidence-based interventions to young people, their families and their friends who present for appointments or ‘walk-ins’ at the Centre, at venues for outreach activity within the local community, or via telehealth. Key responsibilities include:
With support from the Clinical Lead, ensure adequate intake capacity/coverage through the monitoring of demand and capacity to respond to referrals.
Provide psycho-social assessments and evidence-based brief interventions to young people and their families at the centre, via telehealth, and at other approved and appropriate outreach sites
Promote consistent and coordinated service delivery response for young people and their families through liaison with relevant referrers and other services
Proactively work to reduce barriers to access services, enhancing family/friend perception and participation across all aspects of service delivery and in the centre’s community.
Conduct and coordinate the intake of referrals to determine appropriateness for service, including responding to enquiries, assessment and monitoring of risk whilst acting as the interim holder of the young person’s case until appropriately allocated
Maintain accurate and timely case notes and records in approved database system
Participate and lead as required, regular clinical case review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate clinical service pathway and service delivery
Promote headspace Manjimup services where appropriate and build and maintain collaborative working relationships with suitable external stakeholders
About You
To be considered for this position, applicants will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Social Work, Psychology, OT, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling) and current full registration/membership with a professional body.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Mental Health, ideally with experience working in a tier 2/3 youth mental health environment.
Demonstrated experience and ability to undertake screening and assessment to determine a young person?s needs, level of risk and when to refer to other services as appropriate.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Experience and competence working with vulnerable groups, including those who identify as LGBTQIA+, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, or CaLD.
Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic recording systems and database applications.
‘C’ Class driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Warren-Blackwood region
