For Electrical Technician and Maintenance Electrician to ensure optimal machinery uptime and production efficiency for a major food processing employer. A permanent full-time role on a rotating roster within a leading industrial food production environment in Western Australia.
Requires: Qualified Electrical Technician with strong fault-finding and industrial electrical maintenance experience, ideally with food processing plant exposure.
Salary guide: $110,000 to $140,000 per annum.
Location: South-western suburbs of Western Australia.
Your normal day will involve:
Executing planned maintenance tasks using a computerized maintenance system (MEX) to ensure plant reliability.
Troubleshooting electrical and control system faults, including conveyor PLCs, VSDs, refrigeration and pump systems.
Attending breakdowns promptly and analysing root causes to prevent recurrences.
Supporting apprentices and assisting in repairs, upgrades, and plant projects.
Maintaining strict compliance with electrical safety standards and housekeeping procedures.
Working rotating 12-hour shifts including days, nights, and weekends on a roster offering a 15% allowance.
This role offers hands-on ownership of the electrical maintenance for WA’s largest beef processing facility’s Case Ready department where packaging and preparation for retail take place. Your core focus will be maintaining 100% plant availability with minimal electrical downtime, contributing directly to production success and operational efficiency. You will need:
