Fox Orchards Pty Ltd as trustee for Fox Family Trust t/a RK & J Fox & Son is a family owned and operated business specialising in the primary production of apples, avocados and beef cattle. The business is located at 177 Fox Road in Eastbrook, WA 6260 in Australia.

We are now seeking an experienced Fruit Farm Worker to join our team. As a Fruit Farm Worker your everyday responsibilities will include:

·        Planting, pruning, thinning, and general tree maintenance.

·        Applying fertilisers, herbicides, and pesticides according to safety standards.

·        Harvesting apples and avocados with care to avoid fruit damage.

·        Grading and packing fruit according to market quality standards.

·        Operating orchard machinery, including tractors, sprayers, mowers, and cherry pickers, including carrying on general maintenance on the machinery.

·        Operating irrigation systems and monitoring water usage.

·        Repairing and maintaining trellises, netting, and orchard fencing and performing general maintenance and upkeep.

·        Supervising seasonal workers during peak harvest periods.

·        Maintaining accurate records of daily activities and farm operations.

·        Following all farm safety procedures and bio security protocols.

In addition, the right candidate will be required to:

·        Hold qualifications at the level of AQF Certificate II or higher, or have at least one (1) year of experience in a similar role;

·        Hold a valid drivers licence and forklift operating licence;

·        Hold a Chemical Handling Certificate;

·        Hold Basic First Aid Certificate;

·        Have practical Horticultural skills;

·        Have attention to detail;

·        Be physically fit;

·        Be a team worker and have excellent communication skills;

·        Be a problem-solver;

·        Be reliable.

This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $70,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
