Supervisor Structural Remediation (Casual)
Role:
JWS are recruiting for a Supervisor to join our SIMS (structural remediation crew). We have a long-term contract for ongoing maintenance and shutdown works servicing the World’s Premier Lithium supplier in the Southwest region.
Roster:
Dayshift: 7 days on – 7 days off roster
12hrs shifts
Employees will be provided camp accommodation while rostered on
Immediate start required
We are looking for individuals with structural remediation experience who thrive on working in team environments and developing collectively.
The successful applicant will have:
Cert III or IV in Engineering – Fabrication, Mechanical, or Construction
Valid Driving License
WTIA Basic Inspector or CSWIP 3.1 Certification a requirement.
S26 Certification
Working at Heights (within 2 years)
Confined Space (within 2 years)
Construction Induction Card (White or Blue card)
Rigging and Forklift tickets would be beneficial
Ability to pass a pre-employment and site medical testing
Key Responsibilities include:
Supervise structural remediation works on steel structures, including repairs, reinforcements, replacements, and corrosion protection
Coordinate and lead a team of trades (boilermakers, mechanical fitters, riggers, blaster/painters.)
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with engineering drawings, scopes of work, and quality standards
Monitor daily progress, productivity, and resource allocation to meet project deadlines
Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and safety personnel to coordinate activities and resolve issues
Oversee permit to work systems, JHAs, and SWMS compliance
Ensure all remedial work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification
Perform quality checks and signoffs, including surface prep, welding inspections, coating application, and structural alignment
